I finally got round to taking photographs of my Xmas presents. It takes me so long to upload each one so I won't be uploading every single picture.

On Sunday I went to visit my family in Slough. Yesterday I saw Yiannis. We just chilled out and watched the Dara O' Briain DVD (which we're on!) in the pictures.

For Christmas, Yiannis bought me a beautiful necklace, the first piece of jewellery he's ever bought me from www.thischarminggirl.com. It's the necklace in the fifth photograph down. I love it so much.

Merry Christmas everyone! I am having a lovely day and got some great presents. Will come back soon to write about what has been happening.

Happy Christmas Eve! I really like this day as I think it's quite magical. Really, it's just another day though. Everything seems different somehow on Christmas Eve, even though I know Santa isn't going to come down my chimney tonight. That always used to confuse me about Father Christmas, as my house doesn't have a chimney. My parents used to tell me that they had left the door open for him. Strange lol.

I was up early this morning as I had to sign on (for the last time, hurrah!). I did get home from Bedford about 10am and had to get myself ready for Yiannis to come over. We did go to the White Hart in Maulden. We had such a lovely time sitting by the turf fire, chatting and eating. At one point, they had problems with the fire and it choked me. But it was funny more than scary and it was great being with Yianni.

Afterwards, we went for a drive around. The landscape looked gorgeous covered with snow. We went to Wrest Park and I took some photographs. Yiannis then took me home as he has to go out this evening to a family thing. He might come to see me tomorrow evening if he has time.

He left some presents for me and my parents to open tomorrow. Can't wait. I am going to put the rest of the presents in front of the tree.

Spent a lot of today cleaning my house throughly. In the afternoon, I went to volunteer at the shop. We had to close early though, as the relief manager was ill. I helped her close down the till as she wasn't really well enough and walked with her part of the way home. I hope she's ok.

I have to sign on at the Jobcentre at 9am tomorrow. It's my last time though. Hopefully, the trains will be running ok and I can get home quite early afterwards. I want to get myself sorted out as I'm going out for a lunch with Yiannis to celebrate Christmas. I am really looking forward to it, we might go to The White Hart in Maulden, which is a cosy sort of place. There is still a lot of snow about so it will look quite good.

My hands are sooo dry tonight. I have smothered them in Vaseline. Hopefully that helps.

I'm writing a blog early for once! I am much better now but still did too much today and nearly fainted in the afternoon. I am trying to get the house clean for Xmas so am lying on clean sheets at the moment. I have all my presents bought and wrapped and all my cards written. I only have one more present to deal with and that is a plant for Yianni's gran. I need to keep it alive by watering it and tending it before I get it ready to be given as a present. I seem to be the kiss of death to most plants, so leaving one in my care is a worrying prospect.

I'm very much looking forward to Friday as Yianni and I are going to go out for lunch and exchange presents. This is almost as good to me as Christmas day itself :=).

It snowed really heavily today. Whilst I was walking to the gym I ended up with snow in my mouth, eyes, hair, everywhere. I must have looked like a snowman when I arrived! At one point, whilst walking home, the snow was so thick, I sunk right down into it. Doesn't help to be short, really!

I have been feeling so ill today. I woke up this morning with a headache, fever, sore throat, cough and an aching body. I couldn't get up this morning. I revived slightly around lunchtime but in the afternoon I was extremely unwell.

So trying to deal with my sickness is pretty much all I've been up to today. It's hard to do much when you have to concentrate on not fainting. I didn't have the strength to make lunch. I did attempt to wrap some presents but could only do one before I felt too ill again. Hopefully tomorrow I will be better.

It's not long until Christmas. Only about 11 days to go. I have a little Christmas tree on my desktop that I downloaded from http://get-xmas.com that makes me feel festive. I have decorated my own tree and it looks so nice. I still can't get in the Christmas mood though.

I went to BodyJam this morning. After that I went with Dad to Bedford Priory Park to see where the bus stop at Verifile is. This afternoon I wrapped presents whilst watching An Education. It was a good film but a little strange. Carey Mulligan wore such lovely clothes in it though.

I visited the Olde Watermill in Barton yesterday. It looked so lovely and festive. I took some photos which I posted here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dreambabydream. I used a program I downloaded online which makes photographs look old-fashioned.

God, jobwise everything has been crazy. That is one of the reasons why I have written here much. I actually got offered a job by Verifile today but I don't know how I'm going to get there as its slightly outside of Bedford. I also have an interview with Bedford Borough Council on Thursday so I will make my decision after that.

I'm off to Reading this weekend because its Yiannis' Christmas work party on Saturday. I have bought a pretty black 1950's style dress. I would post photos of it on here but my camera doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

I'm so tired. Gah, I seem to be getting tired earlier at night a lot recently.
